Oh! The joys! Oh! The worries! Oh! The planning, the decisions and the research. Yes, it will be all worth it in the end.
However, right now, as the deadline draws nearer and I realize there is so much I need to get done before we go on our next adventure, I begin to worry, fret, and yes, even hyperventilate. It is at times like these, for example, when I am trying to learn blogging technology, that things look mighty bleak.
Wouldn’t it just be better to stay home, enjoy our lovely house, visit our friends and read about other people’s adventures rather than go through the effort of going on ourselves?
No! Travelling may be hard (especially on the waistline) but the joy of learning about a new place is amazing. And all those things that need to get done? Most of them our just things that have been on my procrastination list since the last time I went travelling! It is like tidying the house before guests arrive. Really, one’s house should always be tidy but, honestly, is yours? Mine isn’t!
I have had months, years, to improve my blogging skills and now, on the eve our next big adventure, it is time I pick up my socks and learn!
After all! Australia is not just a whole new country, it is a new continent!
